ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) glass

Britain's PILKINGTON will be creating a joint venture with the American automotive equipment maker VISTEON, in which it will own a majority share. The new company would be the principal glass supplier for the car maker FORD, in which VISTEON was a subsidiary prior to the announcement in April that it was being floated on the stock exchange and its shares distributed to FORD shareholders (see EI of 19 April). VISTEON has annual turnover of USD 800 million in the glass sector.
