Ecofin Council agrees to speed up work for strengthening integration of financial markets

Brussels, 06/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Monday in Luxembourg, the Ecofin Council acknowledged the need to speed up work for the setting in place of an integrated financial services market. "The European Council of Lisbon (…) requested that this process be completed by 2005", it recalls in its conclusions.
