Commission will decide on 19 June on AOL Time Warner merger

Brussels, 06/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission postponed from the 8 till 19 June the time allocated for the investigation of the merger between the world largest in Internet, AOL, and in communications, Time Warner. The first phase of the investigation was automatically extended from four to six weeks, to take into account the undertakings presented by the two companies to answer the fears felt by the European competition services.
