Euro-American research confirms worsening of ozone layer depletion over Arctic

Brussels, 05/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The first results of the EU programme Theseo 2000 and of the NASA (US) financed Solve programme for analysing the ozone layer over the Arctic recently confirmed the fears expressed by scientists concerning the worsening of the phenomenon known as the "ozone hole". According to measures taken between January and March this year, the loss of ozone would be by way of 60% in the stratosphere at an altitude of 18 km. The ozone layer is again becoming denser...
