Japan's TOYOTA (automobile) is to take control of the Swedish heavy engineering firm BT INDUSTRIES through its subsidiary TOYODA AUTOMATIC LOOM, so as to become the world leader for fork lift trucks. The Japanese firm has already acquired 16.8% of the capital from NORDIC INVESTE and 8.3% from BANK OF AMERICA EQUITY PARTNERS for a total of 23.3 bn yen, corresponding to 275 Swedish kroner a share.
