Parliament supports the Commission in negotiations with the United States on banning hushkitted aircraft and confirms partial application of the ban from May 4

Brussels, 30/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - In a Resolution adopted in this Thursday's plenary session, the European Parliament supported the Transport Commissioner, Ms Loyola de Palacio, in her negotiations with the United States on the banning of hushkitted aircraft in the EU. The EP confirmed that it "was not prepared to contemplate postponing the application of the Regulation again… in terms of measures applying to aircraft registered in Member States" and so this part of the Regulation...
