ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

The Chinese authorities have approved a joint-venture between AVENTIS CROPSCIENCE (Franco-German group AVENTIS) and HANGZHOU GENRAL PESTICIDE PLANT to produce AVENTIS pesticide in China. AVENTIS CROPSCIENCE will hold a 75% stake in the company, the remaining 25% being controlled by HANGZHOU GENERAL PESTICIDE PLANT. The project represents a total investment of 50 million euro.
