Joint Assembly calls for opening of negotiations with Cuba in view of its accession to new convention

Abuja, 27/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - By adopting a joint resolution between the ESP, GUE/NGL and the Green groups, the joint APC/EU Assembly brought its support to the Cuban request for accession to the new partnership agreement. This is on condition of Cuba, as with all the signatory countries, undertaking to respect the objectives as a whole and the principals set by the new convention.
