Commission opens investigation on the reduction of social contributions in northern Sweden

Brussels, 06/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission opened a formal investigation of into the system of reductions in social contribution for companies located in northern Sweden. "During the investigation, the enforcement of the regime is suspended", specified the Commission in its press release. The regime foresees among others the reduction by 8 percentage points of the contribution for industries and certain services located in the north. The Commission will check if these...
