Brussels, 06/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - On the 14 March the European Commission may not authorise part of the merger between the aluminium giants Alcan (Canada), Pachiney (France) and Alusuisse (Algroup-Suisse group) within its new group "APA". The Alcan/Alusuisse and Alcan/Péchiney mergers were organised independently and separately notified to the companies.
