More than 4,400 European citizens repatriated urgently from Middle East, EU-coordinated flights still under way

10/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – According to the latest figures from the Emergency Response Coordination Centre, released on the evening of Monday 9 March, the Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) has already enabled 56 repatriation flights to be carried out since the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, bringing more than 4,400 people to safety. To date, 23 Member States and partner countries have activated the mechanism to evacuate their nationals from seven countries: Egypt,...
