European Parliament condemns sentencing of media tycoon Jimmy Lai

22/01/26 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 22 January in Strasbourg, MEPs adopted a resolution tabled by the EPP, S&D, Renew Europe, Greens/EFA and ECR condemning “in the strongest terms” the conviction of “sedition” and “collusion with foreign forces” of Hong Kong media tycoon and pro-democracy activist Jimmy Lai (see EUROPE B13534A16).
