Isabelle Le Callennec MEP deplores fishing closure in Bay of Biscay

“For the third year running, the closure of the Bay of Biscay will force 300 vessels to remain docked for a month, with an estimated loss of revenue of €35 million for the entire industry”, said Isabelle Le Callennec MEP (EPP, French) on Thursday 22 January. The measure applies to vessels over eight metres in length from 22 January to 20 February 2026 (see EUROPE B13779A13).
