Faced with an impasse, Danish Presidency of EU Council abandons a compromise on energy taxation

After four years of discussions and several months of intense technical work, the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU is giving up and abandoning a compromise on the revision of energy taxation on Thursday 13 November (see EUROPE B13750A7).
