13/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 12 November, Eurogroup President Paschal Donohoe and European Commissioner for Economy Valdis Dombrovskis highlighted the strength of the euro area economy, with growth figures that are “higher than expected”. Mr Dombrovskis advocated for diversifying trade and said that there was an urgent need to strengthen economic competitiveness by deepening the internal market. On Monday 17 November, the European Commission will present its autumn economic forecasts. A source at the French Ministry of Finance (Bercy) has forecasted “favourable” growth of 1.2% of GDP in the euro area for 2025, while emphasising the “significant downside risks” linked in particular to US customs tariffs.
