European Parliament approves granting of more than €1 billion to Spain and France following natural disasters

13/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 13 November, the European Parliament overwhelmingly supported (622 votes in favour, 10 against and 3 abstentions) the release of just over €1 billion for Spain and France, following the floods that hit the Valencia region in October 2024 and the cyclones that hit Mayotte and Reunion in December 2024 and February 2025.
