13/11/25 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 13 November, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden announced that they would finance a $500 million programme of defence equipment for Ukraine sourced from the United States, as part of NATO’s PURL (Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List) initiative. In a joint declaration, the ministers of these countries pledged to maintain long-term, predictable and coordinated military support for Ukraine “through capability development, defence industrial cooperation, and strengthening Ukraine’s ability to deter future Russian aggression”. “Russia’s war of aggression is a long-term threat to European security, the transatlantic community and the rules-based international order. We will not allow it to succeed” they warned. (CG)
