30/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – A tripartite meeting took place on Wednesday 29 October, on the fringes of the Paris Peace Forum, between the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, and three members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Western Balkan country, which is a candidate for EU membership, still lacks a chief negotiator to lead accession talks and the necessary reforms (see EUROPE 13730/19). The stability of the region and the territorial integrity of the country are also threatened by the separatist ambitions of the Bosnian Serb entity and its leader, Milorad Dodik, who rejects the authority of the Bosnian Constitutional Court (see EUROPE 13604/12). According to the Élysée, the discussions focused on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. When asked about the meeting, Marta Kos’ office did not respond to our requests. (IS)
