17/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – During the negotiations between the Council of the EU and the European Parliament on unfair commercial practices, no agreement was reached on the evaluation contrary to what we had indicated (see EUROPE 13732/14). On the evaluation (the European Parliament wants the first evaluation of Directive 2019/633, accompanied by a report setting out its main conclusions, to be submitted to the Commission by 1 November 2025 at the latest), the negotiators will explore options at technical level and will return to this issue at the next trilogue.
