Revision of framework directive on food and textile waste came into force on 16 October

17/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – The revision of framework directive on food and textile waste came into force on Thursday 16 October. The European Parliament formally adopted the revision of the framework directive on 9 September (see EUROPE B13705A12). The new measures aim to prevent and reduce food and textile waste in the European Union. The revised legislation introduces targets to be achieved at national level by 31 December 2030 at the latest. EU countries will now have 20 months...
