Next EU/Western Balkans summit to be held 1 June in Montenegro

On Thursday 16 October, the President of the European Council, Antonió Costa, announced that the EU/Balkans 2026 summit would take place on 1 June in Montenegro. A country that is “making impressive progress towards EU membership”, said Mr Costa. This announcement followed a bilateral meeting with the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović.
