Successful launch of EU Council/European Parliament negotiations on unfair commercial practices

On Thursday 16 October, the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and representatives of the European Parliament made progress in their negotiations on the proposal concerning the cross-border application of the rules on unfair commercial practices.

This first trilogue took place in a positive atmosphere, marked by a willingness to compromise between the parties, according to a European source (see EUROPE B13708A7).
