European Commission rewards six innovative ‘RegioStars’ projects

Six innovative projects funded by the European Union were honoured at the RegioStars Awards 2025, held in Brussels on Thursday 16 October as part of the 23rd European Week of Regions and Cities.

From a record 266 entries, six projects stood out for their impact, creativity and contribution to European cohesion policy.

This year’s winners include actions to reduce carbon loss from peatlands, the deployment of electric shared cabin taxis on train tracks and the creation of a virtual library...
