131 companies call on EU to adopt an ambitious 2040 target

16/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – In a letter sent on Thursday 16 October, 131 European companies, investors and employers’ organisations called on the EU to set itself a target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040, in order to send “a vital signal of Europe’s continued commitment to climate neutrality and industrial leadership”.
