EU Council/European Parliament negotiations on new genomic techniques resume Tuesday 14 October

13/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – Inter-institutional negotiations between the Danish Presidency of the EU Council, the European Parliament and the European Commission will continue on Tuesday 14 October on the proposal for a regulation on new genomic techniques(see EUROPE B13681A18). The agenda for the second trilogue on this sensitive issue includes discussions on equivalence criteria between category 1 NGTs and plants derived from so-called conventional techniques, and on sustainability...
