With a resolution adopted on Wednesday 1 October by 101 votes to 3, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe closed the post-monitoring dialogue with Bulgaria and decided to follow the country’s development through periodic reviews.
Bulgaria was subject to a full monitoring procedure between its accession in 1992 and 2000, when a post-monitoring dialogue was initiated “on a number of outstanding concerns”.
