02/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 1 October, the European Commission launched a call for evidence on its future prevention, preparedness and response plan for health crises. The call is open to citizens, institutions, patient organisations, NGOs, professionals and researchers, and aims to gather views on the problems to be solved, the action areas and the expected impact. The plan is being drawn up against a backdrop of multiple threats (geopolitical, emerging diseases, climate crisis) and aims to strengthen resilience and coordination between Member States. The EU plan will be closely linked to other Commission initiatives, including the ‘EU Preparedness Union Strategy’, the ‘EU Climate Adaptation Strategy’, the Strategy to support medical countermeasures and the EU Stockpiling Strategy. The consultation will be open until 29 October. Link to the call for evidence: https://aeur.eu/f/iq3 (LC)
