Compulsory nature of written contracts between farmers and buyers will be debated at European Parliament plenary session

On Wednesday 8 October in Strasbourg, the European Parliament will be debating and deciding on the details of the compulsory nature of written contracts between farmers and buyers in the food supply chain.

This is one of the issues to be resolved when the European Parliament votes next week on the report by Céline Imart (EPP, French) on the proposal for a regulation to strengthen the position of farmers in the food supply chain (see EUROPE B13705A2).
