In New York, Ursula von der Leyen wants to reaffirm EU’s support for global green transition

On Monday 22 September in New York, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stressed the European Union’s determination to pursue massive investment in renewable energies, and invited countries “sharing the same interests and ambitions” to cooperate in this area.

Mrs von der Leyen was speaking at the World Summit on Renewable Energies, during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and Climate Week in New York.
