Qualified majority voting, budget, composition of institutions... MEPs want EU to modify its institutions with view to enlargement

The European Parliament’s Committee on Constitutional Affairs (AFCO) is due to vote on Tuesday 23 September on the own-initiative report led by Sandro Gozi MEP (Renew Europe, Italian) on “the institutional consequences of the enlargement of the European Union”.

The report, whose compromise amendments Agence Europe was able to obtain, addresses the changes to the European treaties that MEPs consider necessary if the EU is to adapt effectively to the integration of new members.
