EU Council approves provisional agreement reached with European Parliament on simplification of financial reporting

On Tuesday 8 July, the Council of the EU formally approved the provisional agreement reached in December 2024 with the European Parliament on simplifying certain reporting obligations in the field of financial services (see EUROPE B13548A17). The European Parliament must, in turn, ratify the agreement before the new regulation can be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
