European Commission invests in development of innovative products to combat respiratory viruses

03/06/25 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission, with the support of the European Investment Bank (EIB), will provide €20 million in the development of nasal sprays designed to protect against respiratory viruses., the institution announced on Tuesday 3 June. The Commission, through the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA), has signed an investment agreement with the Dutch biotechnology company Leyden Labs.
