16/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – The Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) assessed on Tuesday 15 April, in its report on Czech gas transmission tariffs for the Energetický regulační úřad, the Czech National Regulatory Authority (NRA), that the proposed reference price methodology largely complies with the requirements of the binding EU Network Code on harmonised transmission tariff structures. The Agency emphasises that most of the information required is provided, with the exception of the calculation and components of the cost allocation assessment. ACER recommends that the NRA open a consultation on the benchmarking adjustments, respecting the two-month consultation period set out in the Tariff Network Code, and justify the results of the cost allocation assessment as well as the use of an alternative pricing mechanism for the flow-based charge at interconnection points.
