The Mission, which has been in operation since 28 March, is led by Chief Observer Marta Temido (S&D, Portuguese), a Member of the European Parliament. Around one hundred short-term observers will join the EU EOM shortly before election day. In total, more than 200 observers from EU Member States, Canada, Norway and Switzerland will assess the entire electoral process, from the campaign to post-election developments, ensuring impartiality and compliance with international standards.
