EU condemns detention of members of United Nations, NGOs and diplomatic missions by Houthis

17/06/24 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 14 June, the EU High Representative, Josep Borrell, strongly condemned the latest detentions by Houthis of United Nations personnel and staff working for non-governmental organisations and diplomatic missions in Yemen. “The European Union fully supports the UN Secretary General’s message of 11 June and echoes the call for immediate and unconditional release of all those detained ”, stressed Mr Borrell in a press release.
