Finland nominates Henna Virkkunen as candidate for post of European Commissioner

17/06/24 (Agence Europe) – It is official: Henna Virkkunen will be Finland’s candidate for the post of European Commissioner. The country’s prime minister, Petteri Orpo, made the announcement on Saturday 15 June at a party rally in Tampere. A former minister, Henna Virkkunen has been a Member of the European Parliament for ten years and has been active on digital and cyber security issues.
