Soil health, fight against climate change, sustainable food systems, European Commission is launching a series of calls for proposals

08/05/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 8 May, the European Commission announced the opening of calls for proposals aimed at funding projects that contribute to improving soil health, with a total budget of €134.5 million under the European framework programme for research and innovation, Horizon Europe. This call is part of the EU 2024 mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’. These calls are open until 8 October. In addition, the Commission has opened calls for proposals, with a budget of €63 million, to finance projects on sustainable, healthy and fair food systems, the fight against climate change and agriculture. Finally, a €28 million ‘Land, Ocean and Water for Climate Action’ call was announced.
