Commission launches campaign to combat disinformation and manipulation of information

08/05/2024 (Agence Europe)On Wednesday 8 May, the Commission announced that it had launched a series of actions to raise awareness of the risks of disinformation, manipulation of information and foreign interference in the run-up to the European elections. It has posted a 30-second video online, available in the EU’s 24 official languages, which will be broadcast in all Member States until the beginning of June. The Commission has also published a new toolkit containing practical advice for teachers and educators, including practical suggestions to help them explain disinformation and information manipulation to students and young people and give them the means to recognise and combat it. Finally, a new web page provides a single point of access to all useful information and resources on strategic communication and the fight against disinformation. See the video: https://aeur.eu/f/c5d; the toolbox: https://aeur.eu/f/c5e; and the website: https://aeur.eu/f/c5f (CG)
