On Thursday 29 February, the European Commission approved the positive preliminary assessments of Croatia’s fourth payment request and Denmark’s second payment request under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) (see EUROPE 13356/17).
The Commission concluded that Croatia had satisfactorily completed the nine stages and achieved the seven objectives set out in the Council’s implementing decision. This payment request for €162.5 million will fund six reforms and eight investments in public administration, the judicial system, public procurement, education and childcare, decarbonisation of the energy sector, electronic communications, research and innovation and health.
The Commission concluded that Denmark had satisfactorily completed the six stages and achieved the twelve objectives set out in the Council’s implementing decision. The payment request of €422 million will fund two reforms and ten investments in the digitalisation of healthcare administration, energy efficiency, cybersecurity, healthcare, research and innovation for the green transition.
Payments can be made once the Economic and Financial Committee (EFC) has delivered its opinion, which it has 4 weeks to do, and the Commission has adopted a payment decision. (Original version in French by Anne Damiani)
