29/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 28 February in Strasbourg, MEPs adopted the report by David Cormand (Renew Europe, French) assessing the financial activities of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in 2023, with 455 votes in favour, 64 against and 26 abstentions. At the European Parliament plenary session, the text received broad support from the EPP, S&D, Renew Europe and Greens/EFA political groups. The annual report focuses on the development of the European Climate Bank, the response to the conflict in Ukraine, the EIB’s global activity and the implementation of key policy areas, including governance, transparency and institutional accountability.
