07/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 7 February, the plenary session of the European Parliament authorised by 496 votes to 111, with 22 abstentions, the opening of negotiations with the Council of the EU on the extension of an exemption to the EU’s ‘e-Privacy’ rules on the confidentiality of communications enabling the detection of child sexual abuse material online.
