In 2023, wind energy generated more electricity than gas in EU for first time, according to Ember analysis

07/02/24 (Agence Europe) – In 2023, the European Union saw a historic drop in electricity production from coal and gas, resulting in a record reduction in emissions from the electricity sector, according to the think-tank Ember in its 2024 analysis of electricity in Europe, published on Wednesday 7 February.
