20/11/23 (Agence Europe) – EU investment in Africa and Latin America as part of its Global Gateway strategy will be on the agenda of the Foreign Affairs Council (Development) meeting convened by the EU High Representative and Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, on Tuesday 21 November. Ministers should be informed of the results of the first Global Gateway Forum (see EUROPE 13280/6). An exchange of views is also planned, by videoconference, with the President of the World Bank, Ajay Banga, in the context of the reform of the multilateral development banks. Mr Borrell is also expected to brief the ministers on the situation in Ukraine, aid to Palestine, the implementation of the third action plan on gender equality and the follow-up to the EU-CELAC summit. No press conference is scheduled after the meeting. (AN)
