Parliament approves raising financial assistance to balance of payments

Strasbourg, 21/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 18 November, the European Parliament adopted a report by Pervenche Berès (PES, France) supporting the Commission's proposal (COM(2008)0717) to increase the ceiling of the Community mechanism for medium term financial assistance to support the balance of payments of non-eurozone member states (EUROPE 9772).
