Belgium's BEKAERT (turnover of EUR 3.1 bn in 2005, workforce of 17,000 in 120 countries) has invested EUR 16.5 mil in a 18.85% stake in Chinese stainless steel wire manufacturer SHOUGANG. Asia, particularly China, make up some 10% of BEKAERT's turnover.
