Dutch golden shares in KPN and TPG infringe European legislation

Brussels, 29/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the Court declared the golden shares held by the Dutch government in the telecommunications company KPN and the postal and freight delivery company TPG (now TNT) to be illegal. They considered that the golden shares restricted the free movement of capital and dissuaded private players from taking shares in the capital of the two companies.
