Beijing blocks complaint tabled by Union at WTO against imports of spare car parts

Brussels, 29/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, Beijing blocked the complaint tabled at the WTO by the European Union (but also by the United States and Canada), against customs duties applied to imports of spare car parts (EUROPE 9266 and 9165). China has effectively opposed the creation of a special group of experts to arbitrate the dispute, at a meeting at the WTO headquarters in Geneva.
