Commission to inquire into acquisition of British paper mill by Glatfelter

Brussels, 21/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has opened a detailed investigation into the acquisition by US specialty paper manufacturer PH Glatfelter Company of a paper mill and other related activities located in Lydney, United Kingdom. Lydney used to belong to JR Crompton Ltd, a manufacturer of fibre material, which has gone into receivership.
