Commission calls on European industry to take inspiration from successful pilot projects by Carrefour and Nokia to elaborate more ecological products

Brussels, 21/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - Welcoming the success of two pilot projects under the leadership of Finland's Nokia and France's Carrefour to find new ways to reduce the environmental impacts of mobile telephones and wooden garden furniture, Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas made an appeal in a press release on Thursday for the whole of European industry to “take similar action to green their products”.
