Brussels, 26/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - During its first meeting on 26 January, the temporary committee of the European Parliament on the matter of the CIA secret detention centres in Europe elected Carlos Coelho (EPP-ED, Portugal) as its chairman and Claudio Fava (PES, Italy) as its rapporteur as planned (see EUROPE 9116 on interim report on this subject by the rapporteur of the Council of Europe Assembly, Dick Marty).
